Theme: Urban Resilience and Transforming Communities
The concept of urban resilience in the context of changing global environment has gained prominence in the recent times. The challenges and threats in addressing the socio-economic and environmental issues in urban areas continue to exist. There is a need to address chronic stresses and acute shocks due to urbanisation, climate change, urban poverty, and other such urban concerns. It is an undeniable fact that the urban communities are the most affected due these drastic urban dynamics. For a sustainable transformation of communities, it is important to confront present and upcoming related urban challenges by building or enhancing urban resilience and developing solutions. In this context, this PDP is designed to disseminate and strengthen adaptability assessment and resilience in marginalised communities.
